Jakob "Jaap" Stam is a Dutch retired football player who is currently an assistant coach at his former club AFC Ajax. He played for several European clubs including PSV Eindhoven, Manchester United, Lazio, A.C. Milan and Ajax before retiring in October 2007. As well as club trophies, he won several personal awards, including being voted best defender in the 1998–99 and 1999–2000 UEFA Champions League. He was known for possessing "a rare combination of speed, strength and ball-playing ability". Stam played 67 international matches for the Netherlands, scoring three goals. He was in their squads for three European Championships and the 1998 FIFA World Cup.

Roberto Carlos da Silva Rocha, more commonly known simply as Roberto Carlos, is a retired Brazilian footballer and coach who currently manages Sivasspor in Süper Lig. The Brazilian could shoot over 100 miles an hour and cover 100m in 10.6 seconds. In 1997 he was runner-up in the FIFA World Player of the Year. Considered one of the best left backs in history, he was chosen on the FIFA World Cup Dream Team and in 2004 was named one of the Top 125 greatest living footballers as part of FIFA's 100th anniversary celebration.

Zinedine Yazid Zidane, nicknamed "Zizou", is an assistant coach and sporting director at Real Madrid, and a retired footballer who played as an attacking midfielder for the French national team, Juventus and Real Madrid. Zidane was named the best European footballer of the past 50 years by UEFA,and has been described as one of the greatest players in the history of the game. He was best know for his command on central mid-field. At club level Zidane won La Liga and the UEFA Champions League with Real Madrid, two Series A league championships with Juventus and an Intercontinental Cup and a UEFA Super Cup each with both aforementioned sides. On the international stage Zidane won 1998 FIFA World Cup and Euro 2000 with France.

Sir Robert "Bobby" Charlton CBE is an English former football player, regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time, and an essential member of the England team who won the World Cup and also won the Ballon d'Or in 1966. He played almost all of his club football at Manchester United, where he became renowned for his attacking instincts and passing abilities from midfield and his ferocious long-range shot. He was also well known for his fitness and stamina. His elder brother Jack, who was also in the World Cup-winning team, is a former defender for Leeds United and international manager.

Attilio Lombardo (born 6 January 1966 in Santa Maria la Fossa, in the Province of Caserta) is a retired football player turned manager, best known for his two spells at U.C. Sampdoria. His last position was working with former Sampdoria teammate Roberto Mancini at Galatasaray as a technical collaborator, and as coach of the Reserve squad. Lombardo is one of the few players that has won the Serie A title with three different teams.

Arjen Robben is a Dutch footballer who plays for the German Bundesliga club Bayern Munich. Though often classified as a forward, he usually plays behind the forwards (inside position) as a winger, and he is also known for his dribbling skills, speed, crossing ability and his accurate left foot long-range shot from the right wing. He is also a part of the Netherlands national team and has appeared at Euro 2004, The 2006 World Cup, Euro 2008, the 2010 World Cup and Euro 2012.

Alfredo Stéfano di Stéfano Laulhé is a former Argentine footballer and coach, widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time. He is most associated with Real Madrid and was instrumental in their domination of the European Champions' Cup during the 1950s, a period in which the club won the trophy in five consecutive seasons from 1956. Along with Francisco Gento, he was one of only two players to play a part in all five victories. di Stéfano played international football mostly for Spain, but he also played for Argentina and Colombia.
#1 Nicolas Anelka
Nicolas Sébastien Anelka is a French footballer who currently plays for West Bromwich Albion. Prior to his retirement from international football, Anelka was also a regular member of the French national team. Former Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti has described him as a quick player with good aerial ability, technique, shooting, and movement off the ball. Anelka began his career at Paris Saint-Germain, but soon moved to Arsenal. He became a first team regular and won the PFA Young Player of the Year Award the following season. Real Madrid signed him for £22.3 million in 1999, a record fee at the time, but he did not settle in well and returned to Paris Saint-Germain in a £20 million deal. Despite regular first team football in Paris, Anelka set his eyes upon the Premier League once more; he went on loan to Liverpool in January 2002 but joined Manchester City for £13 million at the start of the 2002–03 season.
