#10 Two Broke Girls
This witty comedy is airing its third season this fall and if you aren’t already addicted to it you need to give it a shot. Kat Dennings is truly hilarious with her snarky banter and her perfect opposite character, Beth Behrs, portrays the preppy rich girl turned ghetto a little too well.
#9 Brooklyn Nine-nine
FOX aired its new comedy starring Andy Samberg on September 17, 2013. The show got a lot of attention right off the rip. Maybe it was due to the plot, maybe the trailers, but I believe it is more a testament to the actors. Who could resist the alluring ensemble of SNL’ Andy Samberg and the well-known Andre Braugher. I sure couldn’t!
#8 Dads
‘Dads’ is a brand new sitcom created by Seth Macfarlane and aired on September 17, 2013. It is definitely worth checking out. Seth Green and Giovanni Ribisi make a good comedy cast in this quirky new show.
#7 Hostages
This show is based on the Israeli series which was created by Omri Givon and Rotem Shamir. It aired on October 13, 2013 and is sure to blow all your minds. It is said to be a suspenseful and interesting show. It comes on CBS at 10 pm on Sundays, and from what people have been saying we should all be watching.
#6 The Vampire Diaries
‘The Vampire Diaries” returns October 3rd with its fifth season and if you haven’t been watching, you should start now. A show in its fifth season generally tells you it is worth a try, at bare minimum. If you miss ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’, this show will almost, but not quite fill that ten year gap in our lives.
#5 The Originals
The Originals is a brand spanking new spin off of the very popular ‘The Vampire Diaries’. It premiered its first original and second episode on October 8, 2013. It had first aired a ‘backdoor pilot’ on April 25, 2013. It consisted, basically, just of scenes already shown in “The Vampire Diaries”. Despite the shows odd choice of introduction, it still deserves a chance.
#4 Boardwalk Empire
This HBO original, which is now in its fourth season returned on September 8, 2013. It is a Martin Scorsese production that has fans reeling with every episode. I have not missed an episode to date, it is outrageous. Not to mention, Steve Buscemi’s performance is amazing, as per usual.
#3 The Crazy Ones
The cast alone on this new show, which premiered on September 26, 2013, has me curious. Robin Williams, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and James Wolk spell funny. I sure hope this show can stand up to the high standards people are going to be expecting. I’ll just have to keep my fingers crossed for this show’s future.
#2 American Horror Story
This is a bit of an odd show. Each season has a completely different story than the last. It is on its third season and third storyline. The show has so far managed to, without issues maintain its taboo and dark appeal. It is fascinatingly evil and Jessica Lange has brought a genuinely real aspect to each season’s very different stories.
#1 The Walking Dead
The AMC original horror that aired first in 2010 and grabbed the nation by their short and curlies is returning for a third season on October 13, 2013. It is just in time to get us all in the Halloween mood too. The show has been a big hit and I, personally, am very excited to see where they take it.
