#7 Motivation
Everything to losing weight and changing your diet is being motivated to change. Change your wallpaper to the perfect body. Have a goal for yourself and try and aim high for the skinny body that you want. Remember, this is to be healthy and beautiful. When losing weight, be sure you’re doing it in a safe and positive way.
#6 Cut the Soda out of Your Diet
Soda serves no nutritional value and is really bad for you in the long term. It’s not only bad for your teeth, but bad for your body. Its super high in calories and it will deplete your body of vitamin A, calcium, and other minerals that are essential to healthy weight loss. This does not mean drink diet soda either; it is equally as bad if not worse. It enhances weight game by as much as 41 percent. Do you really want that in your body?! I think not! Drink lots of water instead! You will see huge differences in your skin and body if you just stop drinking soda.
#5 Salad, but in Moderation
When I say salad, I mean the dressing and the cheese! You’re lying to yourself that salad is healthy if you’re drowning it in 1000 calories worth of dressing and cheese! Ironically, at most “healthy” places, the salads contain the most calorie count because of how much dressing is used. Try a healthy alternative and use balsamic vinegar. Eat a lot more greens than the dressing. It might not taste as good, but trust me, with the amount of calories you’re taking with the dressings; you might as well eat at McDonald's.
#4 Don’t Skip Breakfast
If you’re trying to lose weight, this is definitely not the way. Eat a healthy breakfast with carbohydrates and protein. It isn’t good for your metabolism to skip a meal. Think about it, you haven’t eaten in about eight hours because you were probably sleeping last night, so what does your metabolism do while it’s not working? It’s storing fat! It sounds like a complete oxymoron, but please, just eat breakfast! This doesn't just apply to breakfast, eat all three meals! Don’t skip any because that’s just silliness.
#3 Use Smaller Plates
Using smaller plates tricks your brain into think there’s more food on your plate and more you’re eating. You’ll get full quicker and it’ll portion out your food so you’re not eating too much. This doesn't mean starve yourself either, ladies. Know your serving sizes and just plop it on a small plate. Eat slower too, so you get fuller faster! Easy tricks and tips that require little or no work!
#2 No Junk Food and No Fast Food
This should be common sense for most people, but they’re called junk food for a reason! It’s not good for you and the amount of calories and sodium it has is ridiculous and too much for your body to burn off. Try healthier snacks like peanuts or fruits! Fast food is just in general really bad. I could go into greater detail about each individual item on every fast food menu, but it would just be a giant list that would go on to infinity! So do us all a favor and just avoid fast food as much as possible.
#1 The Little Things Count
Do little things like parking a little farther to make you walk a little more. You should take the stairs instead of the elevators, or even do 10 sit ups every time a commercial or ad comes on. Doing a little exercise everyday will help a lot in the long run, now if you want major difference, work out at the gym! Try yoga or the machines that they offer at your local gym. Do not be intimidated by everyone else because like you, they want to be healthy too. We all start somewhere so why not take the first few steps?
